- Embassy of Nepal, Australia Begins Issuance of e-Passports

The Embassy of Nepal in South Australia has officially started issuing e-Passports for Nepali citizens residing in Australia. The transition from traditional Machine-Readable Passports (MRPs) to biometric e-Passports aligns with global standards, ensuring enhanced security and efficiency in international travel.
Nepali citizens are required to visit the Embassy in person for live enrollment, except for children below 5 years of age, who have a special provision allowing application via post. Applicants should be aware that the processing time for an e-Passport is approximately two months, and they are encouraged to apply well in advance.
Once issued, applicants will receive notifications via email, SMS, and the Nepal ePassport App. Passports can be collected in person, through an authorized representative, or via postal service.
For detailed application guidelines, required documents, and passport fees, please visit the Embassy’s official website or contact us at .............
